Sulphur Hexafluoride
NDIR sensors for measuring SF6 leaks.
Sulphur hexafluoride is an inorganic, colourless, odourless, non-flammable gas which is an excellent electrical insulator. It is an extremely potent greenhouse gas therefore it is important to minimise leaks of it to the environment using an SF6 Gas Leak Detector. SF6 absorbs strongly in the infrared, so NDIR sensors are ideally suited to detecting it at low ppm concentrations.
